Announcing "Taste Of South" - A Tasty Celebration in Honor of South High School's 50th Anniversary

SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL IS CELEBRATING OUR 50TH ANNIVERSARY AND YOU'RE INVITED!

We are inviting back 50 years worth of alumni and faculty to help
South High School celebrate its 50th Anniversary.

WHAT: South High School’s “Taste of South” event

WHEN: Saturday, March 29th, 2008

WHERE: South High School
4801 Pacific Coast Highway
Torrance, California 90505
(The festivities will take place specifically in the mall/quad area in the center of the campus, directly behind the main administration building)

TIME: 11:00am to 3:00pm

WHAT THE EVENT WILL FEATURE:
o This event will feature food from the local restaurants in the South High community
o Music from alumni bands, local bands, and current South High Students
o Family-friendly activities including bounce houses for the kids
o Walk down South High’s memory lane through an exhibit in the library where South High alumni, faculty and community
will have an opportunity to take a look back our history
o A place to gather and catch up with former teachers and classmates
o A silent auction will be held to auction off South High memorabilia and several years of extra yearbooks
o An opportunity to purchase a brick (see information below)
o An Alumni check-in table to gather additional contact information from past graduates. This information will be updated in an alumni directory as a link from our SHS website

“A Solid Foundation” Brick Fundraiser Basics:
• Buy a custom engraved brick for the introductory, promotional price of $100.00
• All brick proceeds will go towards improving the campus and student life
• All bricks will be mortared into the walkways on campus to permanently commemorate your South High memories
• Order bricks online at: www.bricksrus.com/order/southhigh or via mail by sending in the order form and payment to the South High Activities Office, Attention: Vicki Hildreth
